A Million People Project is a non-profit programme to support fundamental researches in mobile network, epidemiology, urban planning, and social science. The project is to motivate up to one million people to participate in a human connectivity/mobility experiment in a metropolitan city of several millions of people. The aim can be achieved by providing the potential participants a social-mobile application, a game, or some interesting statistics about their daily contact patterns, and also with the assistance of local government and public media.
